What is included within our self managed service plans for our virtual private servers?

Although IGXHost specializes in the fully managed sector, we do provide an unmanaged/self-managed service for those who are familiar and possess the ability to manage their own server/hosting environment. These plans come at a fraction of the price as it would ultimately require a lot less work from us. This is how we're able to pass the savings on to you, our clients. Do not mistake the pricing difference as a difference in quality though. The quality of the servers will still be the same as our fully managed services. Self-managed VPS plans are still hosted on high-end nodes just like the managed VPS plans.

Is Self Managed for You?

Our self-managed plans are designed for those who are experienced in managing their own server. We still provide basic support, monitoring, and hardware/network management. However, the majority of things such as DNS settings, control panel installations, and the like will be your own responsibility. We are able to assist and give pointers whenever we can but do understand that self-managed basically means you'll be able to handle anything that should be in reach of you. The self-managed plans are not for those who have limited knowledge in managing a server. If you are one of those, please refer to our fully managed service plans.
